About the Leipzig Veterinary Congress and the vetexpo europe trade fair
The Leipzig Veterinary Congress and the vetexpo europe trade fair are organised by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Leipzig University, the six veterinary chambers of the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia and Leipziger Messe GmbH. The 13th Leipzig Veterinary Congress from 15 to 17 January 2026 attracted 7,400 veterinarians, veterinary assistants and students of veterinary medicine as well as 580 speakers to Leipzig. At the largest veterinary trade fair in the German-speaking world, vetexpo europe, 352 companies from 20 countries presented themselves on 15,000 square metres of exhibition space. The 14th Leipzig Veterinary Congress will take place from 20 to 22 January 2028.
