Leipzig Veterinary Congress: Scientific Programme Showcases Diversity in Veterinary Medicine
With more than 500 lectures, symposia and courses, 13th Leipzig Veterinary Congress (15 to 17 January 2026) offers a comprehensive platform for continuing education and interdisciplinary dialogue across the veterinary profession. The scientific programme brings together expertise from all veterinary fields and welcomes practising veterinarians, researchers, academic professionals, public officials, veterinary nurses and students. The majority of sessions are held in German. Selected content is available in English, and international participants are warmly invited to engage with one of the largest veterinary communities in Europe.

vetexpo europe 2026: Europe’s Key Industry Hub for Veterinary Solutions
From 15 to 17 January 2026, vetexpo europe will once again bring the veterinary industry together at Leipziger Messe. As one of Europe’s most important trade fairs for veterinary medicine, it attracts leading manufacturers, suppliers and service providers from across the continent. The event creates a unique marketplace for innovation, networking and business development. Around 7,000 participants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are expected to attend.

12th Leipzig Veterinary Congress Celebrates Record Numbers of Exhibitors and Visitors
After three days of intensive educational events, fascinating discussions and exciting product presentations, the 12th Leipzig Veterinary Congress has closed with record attendance. Despite the snow and ice, 6,900 (2022: 5,600) visitors from the veterinary care industry and 500 speakers from all across German-speaking Europe flocked to Leipziger Messe from 18 to 20 January. Participants were thrilled with the extensive content and superb quality of the congress programme. Many visitors also took the opportunity to attend the vetexpo and be inspired by new products and services for daily use in their veterinary practices. 329 exhibitors came to the trade fair, making it the largest of its kind in Central Europe. They showcased a wide range of innovations, products, trends and services for applications in veterinary treatment and care.

Feature Topic for Veterinary Assistants: Challenges in Emergency Care – We Are There for Our Patients!
Emergency cases present particular challenges for staff working at veterinary clinics. The feature topic for veterinary assistants at the 2024 Leipzig Veterinary Congress will be "Challenges in emergency care – we are there for our patients!" The topic will focus on how various emergency cases can be assessed and how appropriate initial treatment can be provided. There will also be lectures on how to make a diagnosis and what to be particularly aware of when doing so.
