Dispovet® launches second innovation for safe intubation
After the introduction of the so-called straight endotracheal tubes, which have significantly facilitated safe intubation of small to medium-sized companion animals, Dispovet® now presents a second innovation in this field.
With the Vet's Choice® Cuff Controller, you can monitor and adjust the cuff pressure at any time.
Cuff pressure is crucial for correct intubation:

If the cuff is underinflated, it will not properly seal the trachea. As a result, anesthetic gases can leak and be inhaled by the veterinary team.

If the cuff is overinflated, it exerts pressure on the sensitive airway mucosa, which can cause irritation – and in severe cases even necrosis.
The correct cuff pressure is therefore essential. Monitoring is performed visually with the Vet's Choice® Cuff Controller.
This handy pressure gauge can be easily attached to the cuff valve, allowing precise adjustment. Should the pressure be too high, excess air can be released via the valve. The pressure can also be monitored and optimized during the procedure.
